The Civil Services, one of the toughest exams in the world, if not prepared properly is difficult to be cracked. In this context, one should keep in mind the quote of Jim Rohn:

The civil services preliminary exam is on June 3, 2018, which is qualifying in nature for the next stage of this exam. Be thorough will one-year current affairs news. Current affairs are the bedrock of UPSC question paper. One should connect the current affairs with the syllabus in order to have the conceptual clarity of a matter. If a topic is constantly in news, ensure that the relevant information pertaining to it is noted down.

Practice mock test papers
One of the most important and brilliant step to pass the civil service exam is taking regular mock tests. Practicing regular mock tests helps to increase speed and accuracy and working out the previous year civil services exam question paper helps to know the important topics often asked and repeated in the exam.

Never ignore Paper II- Aptitude Test
The Civil Services Aptitude Test paper should also be given utmost important because this paper is qualifying in nature and the candidate should score 33 percent or 67 marks in this paper. Therefore avoiding this paper will make a candidate difficult to secure even 67 marks in this paper. So, a regular practice should be done in this paper.
