Making Students Socially Responsible- Thejus Engineering College

Thejus Engineering College is one of the top engineering colleges in Kerala strictly following a value system of social commitment and the same is imbibed to its students along with quality education. The College is teaching the students to use their skills to help the society in every possible ways. Recently, Thejus Engineering College started an initiative where an online crash course was provided to engineering aspirants to crack the entrance examinations conducted by the Government of Kerala, KEAM 2020. The classes commenced on June 10th through Google Meet and the course included detailed explanation of relevant topics along with question-answer sessions, online model test and assignment practices.

During this adverse time of COVID-19, the College is doing everything possible to help the society. Xilatron,  a StartUp unit functioning under the college,  took an initiative to help stopping  the spread of the virus by launching an Automatic Sanitizer Dispenser at Kunnamkulam Mini Civil Station. Many such units of Automatic Sanitizer Dispensers were placed at Kunnamkulam Head Post Office, Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, etc. The cost- efficient sanitizer works on solar power and can be used in homes as well. These sanitizers will soon be available on online platform and through authorised dealers.

To accommodate the Non-Resident Indians returning home, Thejus Engineering College has made available hundred fully-furnished-attached rooms at the campus to the local authorities. This gesture of setting the College as an ideal example among the self-financing colleges in Kerala is being lauded by the Government, public and the beneficiaries alike.
