Building Social Skills in Students-Sree Narayana Mangalam Institute of Management and Technology (SNMIMT)

Sree Narayana Mangalam Institute of Management and Technology (SNMIMT) is one of the leading colleges in Kerala providing best-in class education in different fields of engineering and other co-curricular activities. The NSS (National Service Scheme) department of the College is having a strong foundation and is helping the students to improve their social skills through various activities. As part of the flood relief activity conducted by the NSS wing of the College, formed a collection centre and packed many necessary amenities including food items and dress, which was delivered to the affected families. The volunteers distributed around 95 kits directly to the families and the remaining kits were handed over to the Government Officials. The NSS unit conducted a paper making section on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi as a move against the use of plastics. The volunteers also conducted a flash mob to give an awareness on the harmful effects of using plastic. The volunteers also participated in an awareness campaign conducted by the Railway protection Force on the topic-‘Security of Women and Children Over Railways’ at the Ernakulam South Railway Station. A blood donation camp was conducted in association with Amritha Hospital and HDFC Bank on the motto-‘1 unit blood can save 3 precious lives’.

SNMIMT is planning to conduct a free webinar on Career Guidance for Plus Two students who are in the Science stream. The webinar will be conducted on 10th May (Sunday) 2020 at 4:00 p.m.Mr. Lorance Mathew, a career coach and a motivational speaker who is also a certified trainer of International Labour Organisation will lead the seminar. Parents and teachers of the students in Science stream can also attend this webinar. Please note that participation is allowed only for those who register on or before 9th May 2020.
