A Blend of Curricular and Co-Curricular activities - METS School Of Engineering

Every student wishes to concentrate on their studies while developing their co-curricular activities. For achieving and developing a great personality both academically and in other activities, a learner should choose the institution very wisely as it determines the future. Here is where Mala Educational Trust comes to prominence. Established in 2002, the purpose of this trust is to develop a student in every possible way. The high standards of infrastructure facilities available for students meet every international requirement and the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
 
The social commitment put forward by the institution can be made an example for any other institution. There are many clubs that is functioning which develops the co-curricular activities of the students. The Life Science Club in collaboration with the Department of Health, the Government of Kerala conducted an awareness program based on the deadly COVID-19 titled "Knowing Corona Virus & Being Vigilant"which was an immense success. The METS Health club along with the National Deworming Mission distributed the deworming medicines to the students recently. A project titled -“Semi-Automatic Dry Coconut Shell Remover” developed on behalf of Technical club and IEDC by  the students Mr. K. Nikhil, Mr. Ajay Premadasan & Mr. K. S. Anoop from Mechanical Department of this institution won first prize in the All Kerala Project Competition and the second prize in the same competition was won by Ms. Irin Maria Peouse, Ms. K. R. Meghana, Mr. Amal S. Raj, Mr. M Muhammed Rafi, Ms. P. S. Aishwarya & Mr. T. Haseeb Nazeer from Biotechnology Department for developing the project titled "Biopesticide".  Another huge achievement bagged by this institution includes an award given by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Kerala for implementing “Project Based Vegetable Cultivation” under the Vegetable Development Scheme 2018-2019 by the MET’S Nature Club. This award is first of its kind that is given to an Engineering college. The college was also part of the Government initiative “Vimukthi “ Say No To drugs organised by NSS  volunteers of MET’S.

In today’s world where everything is tech-driven one should be aware of the latest trends in the area of technology. The institution conducted a outreach workshop in association with ‘Srishti Robotics’-one of the most promising Robotics training institute in India on the topic “Gesture Controlled Robotics” for the polytechnic students of K. Karunakaran Memorial Model Polytechnic, Mala and  Womens Polytechnic college Ernakulam, Kalamassery which was well received by the students and also the faculties. The institution is also providing solutions to students’ queries on KEAM (Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical) entrance examination that is to be held in the month of April. The motto of the institution is to provide quality education in a multiethnic environment and to provide solutions to different areas of education. The Job Fair recently conducted was a huge success and provided better placements to aspiring students. 30+ companies arrived with about 400+ vacancies. There was no registration fee and there was recruitment in every field including that from ITI / ITC, Diploma, BTech, BCom, BBA, BCA, BSc (Electronics), BSc (Computer Science).
